Lynelle Smith BA (Ind Psych), BA Hons (Psych), PDCHyp (BMHEB), NLP™
Having attended art school with a major in Ballet, I have, as part of my dancing career, performed many leading roles in some of South Africa’s major theatres. At a young age I already realized that rising to the top takes a positive attitude, perseverance, discipline and hard work. With a great interest in the human mind and people’s well-being, especially their performance in organizations, I set out to start readying myself for a career in helping people build resilience and strive courageously to reach their dreams. In 1991 I graduated with a BA in Communications & Industrial Psychology. After having filled PR and Marketing positions at KWV and RMB Fund Managers, I left for London with the intent to have fun before settling down in a career. As it turned out, during my 4-year stay in London I completed my Practitioner Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis, and practiced as a Clinical Hypnotherapist from the London Medical Centre in Harley Street for 2 years. I returned to South Africa in 2001, and, for the next 3 years, worked in strong financial and corporate environments whilst studying towards a BA Hons (Psychology) degree. After my studies I shifted my focus to a modality which fitted the theory behind Positive Psychology … Coaching. Feeling very comfortably coaching all levels of corporate and non-corporate individuals, the majority of my clients, however, are Professional individuals and Entrepreneurs in the SME market. I am a Licensed NLP Practitioner trained by Richard Bandler, currently established as a Life, Business & Executive Coach, offering sessions in both English and Afrikaans. Even though I prefer to coach face-to-face, I also offer telecall sessions to clients globally. I now continually train following a recognised ICF credential pathway to strengthen my coaching capabilities.
